It is intended to improve wound healing by enhancing the levels of oxygen at pockets, bleeding gum, wounds which can result from extraction, implantation, chemotherapy or false teeth. Put bluem® oral gel with the tube or syringe at the area where it is needed. Before applying the gel you can wipe the area with a cotton swab, as this helps to keep the gel at the right spot. Leave the gel as long as possible on the area of application, but never longer than one hour.
Use bluem® oral gel maximum 3 times a day after brushing and/or after rinsing with mouthwash or as indicated by your implantologist, dentist or oral hygienist.

Apply bluem® oral gel fast and hygienic by using a oral gel applicator. Fill up the syringe with oxygen gel by squeezing it into the syringe. then apply the gel directly to the problem area in your mouth. It is easier to reach difficult sites in the back of the mouth or directly into pockets around teeth and implants.

What's the effectiveness of oxygen in the healing process?
1. Increases cell metabolism and energy production
Oxygen is required for intracellular processes like biosynthesis, movement, and transport. It needs energy to be functional, as well as for cell survival.
2. Increases rate of cell proliferation and re-epithelialization
Epithelial cells “march in” from the sides to close the wound and form a barrier between the wound and the environment – this is the foundation for forming new skin.
3. Increases collagen synthesis and tensile strength
Oxygen is essential to make and properly organise collagen. This is the primary component of the skin, accounting for 70-80% (dry weight – without water) and acts as the structural scaffold of the skin. Organised collagen is bundled into fibers (like strands of rope), which are interwoven and can be stretched in multiple directions without tearing (the collagen fibers are woven similar to fabric).
4. Increases antibacterial activities
Oxygen is essential for respiratory burst. This is the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) used by phagocytes such as neutrophils and macrophages in bactericidal activity. It also involves the removal of necrotic cellular debris.

Mechanisms of action of BlueM active oxygen products
In order to increase the active oxygen on a local wound area, the use of both low concentrations of sodium perborate and of enzyme glucose oxidase (GOX – found in honey) promotes a more rapid healing process. This as well as low concentrations of hydrogen peroxide are included within the unique bluem® formula. Research shows that the continued presence of a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide is a very effective to normalise and control harmful bacteria.
